Lavender Draft Horse Show

September 19, 2015

About ten miles away from us, in Mona, there is a really cool lavender farm that also has a pond and lots of animals and interesting things to do.  They have many events there throughout the year.  One of those events is the Draft Horse Show.  Sarah and her kids and Jody and I went to the festival and had the greatest of times! They had a jousting competition, pony rides, horse drawn carriages, fairy tea parties, horse shows and more.  We had a fabulous time and the kids were exhausted by the end of the day!
Jody loved riding the pony!

This man is a Hollywood horse trainer for the movies.  This horse is the original "Black Beauty's" son and has been in lots of movies. They let Jody come in and sit on the horse. She was a little nervous - but so brave!
They had country dancing and singing before a show started.
Jody just danced along throughout the whole thing.
By far her favorite part of the whole day were the fairies. She doesn't look it here, but she was in love with them and sat at the table and talked with them for at least 15 minutes.  They were such nice girls! And now Jody is obsessed with all things fairies.
What a fun day!

Meanwhile, back at home, Lance got this whole pad done! I felt bad we left for a fun day while he stayed home to do this hard work. But we would not have been much help. It will be so nice to put our little fishing boat on this instead of taking up garage space!
