Hailey came to visit

It is so fun to come home and see my friends in Fairfield! (Lindsey - how could we not have taken any pictures??) While we were there we spent a lot of time with Hailey! She helped me organize letters from my mission, we took a million pictures, caught up, and had a great time!  Thank you Hailey for the killer outfits for Joanne!

Can you see the slobber??

play time

While we were at my parents house, we borrowed a play saucer thing (thank you Irma!!) that she fell in love with.  I couldn't stop taking pictures of her, and her faces were so funny that I have to post a lot.  WARNING - picture overload!

Before she got her haircut.
Thank you Hailey for the cutest outfit ever!
Notice the cucumber.

The pictures below are of Jody looking in the mirror on the toy.  She was fascinated and making faces and talking to herself. She has a great attention span!

this girl is six months!!

Joanne is six months old and it blows my mind! I can't believe I am so lucky to be her mama!

We celebrated by being at my parents house! So so fun!

At six months, Joanne is:
- teething, what a joy. She chews on everything she can get in her mouth and she drools like a faucet. Even still she is cute! A few days after turning six months, she got her first tooth! It made her feel so much better. Teething is rough! Complete with the cough, runny nose, fever, and pain in her mouth.

- she sits up on her own for maybe thirty seconds at a time
- she gnaws on carrots, apples, and cucumbers.

- she does a terrible job sleeping. So while we were with my mom, we sleep trained. Better there when I can be so consistent.
- she has a set of lungs! We have a talker on our hands! She growls non stop, especially at church.
- she is constantly moving, bouncing, and jumping.
- she smiles all the time and is a very happy and content baby.
- she loves her bath and shower time and squeals and talks the whole time. It is my favorite part of the day!
- she loves her daddy so much.  When he is around, she can't stop looking at him. It is only a problem when she is nursing.
- she has had three haircuts so far!
- after this trip she will have been on 7 flights.
- she loves all the attention she gets, she sure is cute!
- she had a growth spurt

- she really is the perfect baby (especially once she sleeps through the night!)

visiting friends and family

Here is a compilation of Jody and friends and family - and a few of just her because she's cute!

Joanne and her Uncle David.  We spend so much time with him and the Hulmes on Sunday and had so much fun!

We visited the harp practice rooms at BYU and saw Laura! I haven't seen her since before her mission when I was almost engaged! Lots has happened since then!

We visited Abbie at BYU, and had lunch with her! So much fun. I love being so close to my family!

Marilyn has been coming over to practice harp and we did a little photo session.  Jody was totally into it.  Featuring her first ever pigtails!

Oh, I love her! She is my biggest joy, and I am so so grateful to be her mama! I love you Joanne!

Valentines Day

Valentines day was so fun!! Lance works a 4/10 schedule so he has Fridays off, and so we had a full fun day!

He surprised me by taking me to kneaders in the morning for the most delicious french toast. Good surprise Lance!

Jody loves drinking our water! (just after we took this, she spilled it all over Lance)

I love her face here. She has such a personality!

I love my baby girl! She makes me so happy!!

That face! She kills me!

Then we went swimming with Joanne.  She makes everything more fun!

She really loves the pool!

Next came valentine making! We made them for each other, Lynn and Marian, and Jody.  We had such a fun time, and I want this to become a tradition!

That night we watched the olympics and will go out for an appetizer later in the week for valentines when it isn't so crazy!
